MAARS is an Amateur Radio Club located in the Marshfield WI area. We are an informal group formed to help local ham radio operators share, learn and promote the hobby of amateur radio. MAARS members enjoy providing communication support for local charity events and are prepared to assist in emergency situations. The Club conducts classes and accredited exams throughout the year. We have held what is called a Ham Cram. In one day we cram in everything you need to know to get your first Amateur Radio License then give you the test.

We have 2 new Hams from the Nov 1st testing.

Both John Draxler Father and Son.

MAARS would like to thank the Wood County 2018 Farm Technology Days for the generious grant to make Emergency Radio Go Boxes.

The Go Boxes contain a 25 Watt Dual Band Radio on a slide out shelf,  Battery Box for a 40AH AGM Battery, Solar Charge Controller for an 8 amp Solar Panel. There is a bag of coax, and various power cables and adapters and a AGM battery charger to top the battery off before going out.  A dual band antenna gets mounted on surplus military mast on a trailer hitch mount.
